Rebecca, a recent graduate of the vet tech / wildlife rehabilitation program, was looking for a job. She stopped in at KTTC in late April to see if there were any positions available and met with Dr. Sue Carstairs. Sue explained that we are grass-roots, primarily volunteer-run charity, but that Rebecca was welcome to come in anytime and learn about the centre. Rebecca was immediately interested in the work being done at KTTC and decided to volunteer, effective immediately, as she continued her job search… only, rather than coming in for a shift here and there, Rebecca starting to come in everyday. While she continuing her search for a job, she would arrive first thing in the morning and work through the day… everyday!
It is now mid-June, and she is a full-time volunteer. Her dedication and medical skills are one of the main reasons that the centre has been able to make it through its busiest season on record! She is an inspiration to us all!
Thank you Rebecca!
