Wow! Last weekend’s Grand Opening was an overwhelming success. We welcomed over 1,000 people through our doors on Saturday! In fact, we were so busy that I didn’t even have a chance to write a blog post. So I think now is a great time to say a HUGE thank you to everyone that attended. It was so amazing to meet everyone and see how passionate people are about our cause. If you didn’t have a chance to come check out our new location, here is a little recap from the event.
Kate gave a wonderful presentation with Paddy the Snapping Turtle and it really drew a crowd!
There was lots more to see too! The kids checked out the education animals, coloured and did crafts…
And the adults enjoyed themselves too!
CHEX also did a great segment on the Grand Opening that really shows how many excited faces came out to learn about the turtles. You can find the video here.
If you missed the event, don’t worry! You will have lots of opportunities to see our new facility. We are currently working on new events and setting regular hours for our education centre. Stay tuned for more information on when you will be able to drop by.
