We are so excited to announce completion of our new 10,000 sq. ft. permanent facility! While we’re not quite ready to welcome visitors yet, you can get a sneak peek inside by clicking on any of the photos below.
Our new facility is built! As you can see, there is still some outdoor landscaping to complete.
Paddy’s new digs! Paddy is our resident snapping turtle, who lives with us since he unfortunately can’t be released back to the wild. He helps spread the word about conservation, and will be able to do an even better job from our new, larger, Education Centre.
Our new surgery room is much larger and features two surgery tables – expanding our capacity to treat turtles and as a teaching hospital.
Our new Education Centre features viewing windows into the surgery room (shown) as well as the ICU and hatchling room, giving visitors a behind-the-scenes view of our critical conservation work.
Thank you to Parks Canada for the beautiful ecopassage display – allowing visitors a turtle’s-eye-view of safely crossing under a road.
