THANK YOU to everyone who attended Spring is Coming in Like a Turtle! Your generosity and support helped to make this event a huge success.

On April 9th, guests joined the Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre at the ROM for a chance to meet and mingle with our world class turtle veterinarian and biologists. They heard firsthand accounts of our turtle conservation efforts throughout Ontario while enjoying delicious food and drinks. Attendees also had the opportunity to bid on our exciting and exceptional auction items.

Our special guest speaker for the evening was esteemed conservationist, author, and self-professed turtle lover, Monte Hummel, O.C. Monte has worked in conservation for over 45 years and is the co-founder of Pollution Probe, and President Emeritus of WWF-Canada.

ROM’s Ontario Road Ecology Group also shared an educational display all about turtles, including a 100 million year old turtle fossil!

All proceeds from the event went directly to support the hospital and ongoing conservation activities of the Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre.
