If you have found a turtle nest that’s in imminent danger (such as on an active construction site), there may be an organization near you with permits to remove the eggs for incubation. Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre does NOT have permits to dig up turtle nests. Check the map at OTCN.ca to see if there’s one near you. Click Nests, click the map pin closest to you, click “View Program Details” and then check the Contact information to reach out directly.
Never dig up a nest on your own, it’s illegal and it can seriously harm any eggs or hatchlings inside.
