Become a member

Membership fees are directed entirely toward the operation of the KTTC. KTTC members receive a membership card, a bumper sticker, charitable tax receipt, a subscription to the KTTC’s newsletter, and a vote in how the centre is run at the annual general meeting. Most importantly members will be part of a team dedicated to the conservation of an important and vulnerable species. The KTTC’s by-laws are available for your review. Memberships can be purchased online, or by sending a cheque with a completed membership application into KTTC.

Hold Your Own Fundraiser

Let your imagination run wild and channel your enthusiasm for our cause by organizing an event or appeal of your own! In the past individuals and groups have raised funds on behalf of the KTTC through yard sales, bake sales, benefit concerts, silent auctions, soliciting donations in lieu of gifts for birthdays and weddings, and more. Funds collected can be forwarded to KTTC in a lump sum by cheque or online as above. If you would like to offer charity tax receipts for indiviuals donations/pledges of $20 or more please contact us to make arrangements with our treasurer.

Become a Hero

The KTTC was founded when a group young conservationists known as Kids 4 Turtles, ages 3-10, raised almost $5,000 to purchase turtle crossing signs for Peterborough County. Their efforts have undoubtedly saved countless turtles by warning motorists to slow down and keep an eye out for turtles. Ever since, kids have been some of our most creative and resourceful fundraisers. Read more about the kids we look up to, and let us know if you have a story to share.
