In memory of Joanne Nicholls (1934-2009), who spent many years saving every dime she could to donate to Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre. Joanne had a special place in her heart for turtles and wanted to do what she could to help them survive. She is warmly remembered as the “Dime Lady” and has raised hundreds and hundreds of dollars for the turtles over the years.
Her husband and granddaughter Sarah continue to save and donate dimes today and recently donated $120 in dimes plus some plush turtle toys to KTTC in memory of Joanne.
